BSIE employs the use of a Komatsu Mini-Excavator model PC27MR-2 in the installation of septic tanks as well as in test pitting services. BSIE’s mini excavator is designed for use in confined spaces; it has a small swing radius and a width of just under 5’ but does not sacrifice operating distance or stability, with a maximum digging depth is 9’. With optional attachments such as a breaker arm (similar to a jack hammer), and multiple sized buckets, the mini excavator is aptly equipped to perform in a variety of conditions and locations.

There are many unforeseen challenges in working with underground utilities, and by utilizing this piece of equipment BSIE is able to keep minor excavation work in house.
